DESCRIPTION

The vehicle proximity notification system may stop functioning properly if there is a power supply malfunction in the vehicle approaching speaker controller.

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER CONTROLLER - AUXILIARY BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

      Disconnect the L201 vehicle approaching speaker controller connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      L201-1 (IG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L201-7 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
