DESCRIPTION

When the vehicle approaching speaker switch is pressed, the vehicle approaching speaker controller receives a proximity sound pause signal and stops the sound.

  1. INSPECT VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER SWITCH


    1. Remove the vehicle approaching speaker switch.

    2. Inspect the vehicle approaching speaker switch.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER CONTROLLER - VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER SWITCH)


    1. Disconnect the L201 vehicle approaching speaker controller connector.

    2. Disconnect the L202 vehicle approaching speaker switch connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L201-5 (SW) - L202-9 (ECU) Always Below 1 Ω
      L201-5 (SW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L201-10 (IND) - L202-10 (IND) Always Below 1 Ω
      L201-10 (IND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
