VEHICLE PROXIMITY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM "P" Position Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the vehicle approaching speaker controller detects that the shift lever is in P, vehicle approaching speaker operation is stopped. When the shift lever is in P, the main body ECU (driver side junction block) sends a signal to the vehicle approaching speaker controller.

  • Troubleshoot the vehicle proximity notification system after confirming that the communication system is functioning properly.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (SHIFT P SIGNAL)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Check the value(s) by referring to the table below.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER CONTROLLER - MAIN BODY ECU [DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK])


    1. Disconnect the L201 vehicle approaching speaker controller connector.

    2. Disconnect the L11 main body ECU (driver side junction block) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L201-11 (SFTP) - L11-4 (SFTP) Always Below 1 Ω
      L201-11 (SFTP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
