PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT REAR CURTAIN SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    Component without Harness Connected

    (Rear Curtain Sub-assembly LH)


    1. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the rear curtain sub-assembly LH.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → 2 (SSA+)

      Battery negative (-) → 1 (SSA-)

      Rear curtain sub-assembly LH raises

      Battery positive (+) → 1 (SSA-)

      Battery negative (-) → 2 (SSA+)

      Rear curtain sub-assembly LH lowers

      CAUTION:

      Be careful when the rear curtain sub-assembly LH raises and lowers. Something could get caught in the rear curtain sub-assembly LH and cause an injury.

      Tech Tips

      To prevent the motor from burning out, stop operation as soon as the rear curtain sub-assembly LH is fully raised or lowered.

  2. INSPECT REAR CURTAIN SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    1. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the rear curtain sub-assembly RH.

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → 2 (SSA+)

      Battery negative (-) → 1 (SSA-)

      Rear curtain sub-assembly RH raises

      Battery positive (+) → 1 (SSA-)

      Battery negative (-) → 2 (SSA+)

      Rear curtain sub-assembly RH lowers

      CAUTION:

      Be careful when the rear curtain sub-assembly RH raises and lowers. Something could get caught in the rear curtain sub-assembly RH and cause an injury.

      Tech Tips

  3. INSPECT INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY

      (Integration Control and Panel Assembly)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      13 - 9 Rear door sunshade switch LH is pushed Below 200 Ω
      Rear door sunshade switch LH is not pushed 10 kΩ or higher
      4 - 9 Rear door sunshade switch RH is pushed Below 200 Ω
      Rear door sunshade switch RH is not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the integration control and panel assembly.
