FRONT BUMPER REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE

  2. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE

  3. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER LOWER COVER


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the front bumper lower cover as shown in the illustration.

  4. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION MOUNTING BRACKET


    1. for Type A:


      1. Install the front bumper extension mounting bracket with the 2 screws.

    2. for Type B:


      1. Install the front bumper extension mounting bracket with the 2 screws.

  5. INSTALL FOG LIGHT COVER LH


    1. except Sport Package:


      1. Attach the 5 claws to install the fog light cover LH.

    2. for Sport Package:


      1. Attach the 9 claws to install the fog light cover LH.

      2. Install the screw.

  6. INSTALL FOG LIGHT COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  8. INSTALL FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

  9. INSTALL WASHER BRACKET

  10. INSTALL ULTRASONIC SENSOR CLIP

    Tech Tips


    • Use the same procedure for both ultrasonic sensor clips.

    • When installing the ultrasonic sensor clip, heat the front bumper cover using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Front Bumper Cover 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the front bumper cover excessively.


    1. When using a new front bumper cover:


      1. Clean the surface of a new front bumper cover.

      2. Using a heat light, heat the front bumper cover surface.

    2. When reusing the front bumper cover:


      1. Using a heat light, heat the front bumper cover surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the front bumper cover.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    3. Install a new ultrasonic sensor clip.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the front bumper cover.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the ultrasonic sensor clip.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. A000V50

        Install the ultrasonic sensor clip.

        Tech Tips

        Press the ultrasonic sensor clip firmly to install it.

  11. INSTALL ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER

    Tech Tips


    • Use the same procedure for both ultrasonic sensor retainers.

    • When installing the ultrasonic sensor retainer, heat the front bumper cover using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Front Bumper Cover 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the front bumper cover excessively.


    1. When using a new front bumper cover:


      1. Clean the surface of a new front bumper cover.

      2. Using a heat light, heat the front bumper cover surface.

    2. When reusing the front bumper cover:


      1. Using a heat light, heat the front bumper cover surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the front bumper cover.

    3. Install a new ultrasonic sensor retainer.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the front bumper cover.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the ultrasonic sensor retainer.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

        Install the ultrasonic sensor retainer.

        Tech Tips

        Press the ultrasonic sensor retainer firmly to install it.

  19. INSTALL NO. 4 ENGINE ROOM WIRE


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the ultrasonic sensor clip.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to install the ultrasonic sensor clip on the other side.

    2. except Sport Package:


      1. Connect the 6 connectors to install the No. 4 engine room wire.

      2. Attach the 7 clamps.

    3. for Sport Package:


      1. Connect the 6 connectors to install the No. 4 engine room wire.

      2. Attach the 11 clamps.
