HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER

2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER PROTECTOR UPPER LH

   Click here

3. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

   Click here

4. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)

   Click here

5. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the 3 screws.

   2. Detach the claw and 2 clamps and remove the hood lock control cable cover.

6. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

      *1	Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, remove the hood lock nut cap as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

   2.

      *1	Hood Lock Nut
      *2	Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly

      Remove the 2 bolts and hood lock nut.

   3. Remove the hood lock assembly.

   4. Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly.

7. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      Detach the 2 claws.

   2. Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly and remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

8. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Detach the clamps shown in the illustration.

      

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

   2. Pull the cable from the engine room and remove it.
