DOOR CLOSER SYSTEM Rear Door Closer RH does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

The rear multiplex network door ECU RH receives rear door closer RH signals, and activates the rear door closer motor RH.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK OPERATION


    1. Check the power door lock control function Click here.

      OK
      Each function of power door lock control system operates normally using master switch.

    Go to POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM Click here

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU - REAR DOOR CLOSER)

    1. Disconnect the O4 ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the O9 closer connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O4-3 (A2+) - O9-1 (CLM+) Always Below 1 Ω
      O4-4 (A2-) - O9-5 (CLM-) Always Below 1 Ω
      O4-7 (POLE) - O9-6 (POLE) Always Below 1 Ω
      O4-8 (HALF) - O9-2 (HALF) Always Below 1 Ω
      O4-9 (FULL) - O9-4 (FULL) Always Below 1 Ω
      O4-16 (INIT) - O9-3 (DLSE) Always Below 1 Ω
      O4-24 (HNDL) - O9-7 (CLP3) Always Below 1 Ω
      O4-15 (CPSE) - O9-8 (CPSE) Always Below 1 Ω
      O4-3 (A2+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O4-4 (A2-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O4-7 (POLE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O4-8 (HALF) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O4-9 (FULL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O4-16 (INIT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O4-24 (HNDL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O4-15 (CPSE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (REAR DOOR CLOSER RH)


    1. Remove the rear door lock RH Click here.

      A000TNZE02

    2. Set the door closer to the half-latch position.

    3. Apply battery voltage to the lock motor connector and check the closer operation.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (CLM+)

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 5 (CLM-)

      Door closer operation normal

      (moves to full-latch position)

    REPLACE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (REAR DOOR CLOSER RH) Click here

  4. CHECK REAR MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH (OPERATION)


    1. Temporarily replace the rear multiplex network door ECU RH with a new or normally functioning one Click here.

    2. Check the door closer operation Click here.

      OK
      Door closer operation is normal.
