SEAT HEATER SYSTEM SYSTEM DESCRIPTION


  1. GENERAL


    1. By operating the seat heater switch which is located in the console box, the temperature can be controlled within the range of 30 to 40°C (86 to 104°F).

    2. Whether the seat heater is ON or OFF can be determined by checking if the seat heater switch indicator light is ON or OFF.

    3. The seat heaters of both seats are controlled by the seat heater switches, which are located inside the rear console.

    4. Seat heater operation using the rear seat module switch can be prohibited by turning on rear seat prohibition on the accessory meter screen.

  2. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT

    Rear power seat switch (seat heater switch)

    • Selects between 3 heated modes.

    • Receives signals from seat heater switch, and sends signals to climate control ECU LH and RH.
    Seat climate control ECU Controls system based on signals from temperature sensor and rear power seat module switch
    Rear seat heater (seat cushion and seatback) Fast acting seat heater warms seat in initial stage of heating mode.
    Accessory meter assembly (seat heater main switch) Turns rear seat heater ON and OFF from accessory meter assembly.
