FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM Wireless Transmitter Memory Function does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

With the power switch off and the driver door closed, press a seat memory switch (M1, M2 or M3) while holding the transmitter UNLOCK switch, or the door lock control switch's lock or unlock switch. Doing so will register the transmitter's recognition code into the seat memory switch that was pressed. After the registration is complete, the answer back buzzer sounds.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK MULTI-FUNCTION REMOTE CONTROL FUNCTION


    1. Using the standard operation procedure, check that the wireless door lock / unlock operates normally.

      OK
      Wireless door lock / unlock operates normally.

      Tech Tips

      The standard operating procedure is as follows:

      Hold the transmitter approximately 1 m (3.28 ft.) from the driver door outside handle. Press and hold the transmitter's LOCK or UNLOCK switch for 1 second.

  2. CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL FUNCTION


    1. Using the standard operation procedure, check that the power door lock / unlock operates normally.

  3. CHECK SEAT MEMORY SWITCH FUNCTION (SEAT POSITION MEMORY FUNCTION)


    1. Perform a memory operation properly. Check that the buzzer sounds to indicate the completion of the memory operation.

      Note


      • The seat position will not be recorded if the SET switch and 2 or more of the memory switches (for example, M1 and M2) are pressed simultaneously.

      • The seat position will not be recorded if a memory switch (M1, M2 or M3) is not pressed within 3 seconds of pressing the SET switch.

      • If a memorizing operation has failed, release all the switches. The seat memory function does not operate unless the switches are released.

  4. CHECK MEMORY CALL FUNCTION (REGISTER RECOGNITION CODE)


    1. While pressing the M1, M2 or M3 switch, press the transmitter's LOCK or UNLOCK switch or press the door lock control switch's LOCK or UNLOCK switch. Then check that the buzzer sounds normally.
