REAR AIRBAG SENSOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. PRECAUTION

   CAUTION:

   Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing Click here.

   Note

   After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Spare Tire)

3. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (w/o Spare Tire)

   Click here

4. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire)

   Click here

5. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

   Click here

6. CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

   CAUTION:

   Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

   Note

   When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

7. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH (for Power Seat)

8. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Ottoman)

   
   

   1. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly LH Click here.

   2. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly RH Click here.

9. REMOVE BENCH TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type)

10. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for Power Seat)

    Click here

11. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (for Ottoman)

    
    

    1. Remove the rear seatback assembly LH Click here.

    2. Remove the rear seatback assembly RH Click here.

12. REMOVE BENCH TYPE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type)

13. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

    Click here

14. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH

    Click here

15. REMOVE REAR AIRBAG SENSOR

    
    

    1. 

       Remove the bolt and rear airbag sensor.

    2. Disconnect the connector.
