Note
Select "Signal Check" from the "DTC Check" screen displayed on the intelligent tester to clear the output DTCs (both present and past).
Tech Tips
DTCs can be detected more sensitively in check mode than in normal diagnosis mode.
Perform check mode inspection when a malfunction in each squib circuit is suspected even after the normal system code is output through normal diagnosis mode inspection.
CHECK MODE PROCEDURE (for Using an Intelligent Tester)
Check and ensure the following conditions:
Auxiliary battery positive voltage 11 V to 14 V.
Transmission in the P or N positions.
A/C switch off.
Turn the power switch OFF.
Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the power switch ON (IG).
Turn the tester on.
Select the following menu items: Body / SRS Airbag / Utility / Signal Check *.
