DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when LIN communication between the position control ECU RH and rear power seat module switch stops for 10 seconds or more.

Note


  • When using the intelligent tester with the power switch off to troubleshoot:

    Connect the intelligent tester to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the tester and vehicle begins.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR POWER SEAT MODULE SWITCH - POSITION CONTROL ECU RH)

    1. Disconnect the z54*1 or S15*2 module switch connector.


      • *1: except 4-Passenger with Ottoman

      • *2: for 4-Passenger with Ottoman

    2. Disconnect the f39 ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      except 4-Passenger with Ottoman:
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      z54-12 (MPX) - f39-19 (LIN) Always Below 1 Ω
      for 4-Passenger with Ottoman:
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      S15-5 (MPX) - f39-19 (LIN) Always Below 1 Ω

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU RH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

      *1 Front view of wire harness connector: (to Position Control ECU RH)

      Disconnect the f4 and f39 ECU connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      f39-26 (SEL) - f39-25 (SEL2) Always Below 1 Ω
      f4-6 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      Standard voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      f39-16 (SYSB) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  5. CHECK POSITION CONTROL ECU RH (OPERATION)


    1. Temporarily replace the position control ECU RH with a new or normally functioning one.
