NIGHT VIEW MAIN SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT TRIP SWITCH

    Component without harness connected

    (Trip Switch (Night View Main Switch))

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      4 - 6 Night view main switch on (Pushed) Below 1 Ω
      4 - 6 Night view main switch off (Not pushed) 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the trip switch (night view main switch).

    2. Inspect the switch illumination.

      Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the switch connector and check that the trip switch (night view main switch) illuminates.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 2 (ILL+)

      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 8 (ILL-)

      		 Illumination illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the trip switch (night view main switch).
