  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    CAUTION:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery negative (-) terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery negative (-) terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Spare Tire)

  3. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (w/o Spare Tire)

    Click here

  4. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire)

    Click here

  5. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

    Click here

  6. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery negative (-) terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  7. REMOVE LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER

  8. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER

    Click here

  9. REMOVE STEERING PAD

    Click here

  10. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect each connector.

    2. A000ZV5

      Detach the clamp and 3 claws.

    3. A000UIU

      Remove the 4 screws.

    4. Detach the 6 pins and remove the steering pad switch assembly.
