DESCRIPTION

DTC Code Detection Condition Trouble Area
C13AE/72

Both of following conditions are met:


  1. Power switch is on (IG)

  2. After electric parking brake ECU is replaced, when power switch is first turned on (IG), system cannot communicate with hybrid vehicle control ECU for approx. 4 sec.

  • Hybrid control system

  • CAN communication system

  • Electric parking brake ECU

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note


  • If the electric parking brake ECU or parking brake with bracket actuator assembly is replaced, perform the "Reset Memory" and "Acquire Tension Sensor Zero Point" procedures Click here.

  • Before disconnecting connectors or fuses, turn the power switch off and wait 20 seconds or more.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Turn the power switch off.

    2. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the power switch on (IG) and the intelligent tester on.

    4. Check for DTC Click here.

      Result Proceed to
      DTC C13AE/72 and a CAN communication malfunction DTC are output at the same time (for LHD) A
      DTC C13AE/72 and a CAN communication malfunction DTC are output at the same time (for RHD) B
      DTC C13AE/72 is output and "Check Hybrid System" is displayed on the multi-information display C
      Only DTC C13AE/72 is output D
      No outputs E
