CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
Note
While the battery is connected, even if the power switch is OFF, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal or open/close the doors while the battery is connected.
PROCEDURE
REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Spare Tire)
REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (w/o Spare Tire)
REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire)
REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH
PRECAUTION
Note
After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY
for 5-Passemger with Ottoman:
w/o Rear Seat Entertainment System:
w/ Disc Player
REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT
for LHD:
Detach the connector clamp.
Remove the 2 clips and No. 1 duct.
for RHD:
Detach the 2 connector clamps.
Remove the 2 clips and No. 1 duct.
REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR
Note
The yaw rate sensor has an identification number. Make sure of the identification number when replacing the yaw rate sensor.

Remove the 2 bolts and sensor.
Disconnect the sensor connector.
Note
Do not drop the yaw rate sensor. If it is dropped, do not use it.
