REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ACTUATOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY LH

3. DISCONNECT REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ACTUATOR CONNECTOR

   

   
   

   1. Detach the wire harness clamp.

   2. 

      Disconnect the actuator connector labeled A.

   3. Disconnect the actuator connector labeled B.

      
      

      1. Release the lever's lock. (*1)

      2. Press the claw and move the lever in the direction of the arrow in the illustration. (*2)

      3. Disconnect the actuator connector. (*3)

         Note

         When disconnecting the actuator connector, do not apply excessive force to the wire harness.

   4. 

      Detach the 2 clamps, and disconnect the actuator wire harness from the body.

   5. 

      Detach the 3 claws, and disconnect the wire harness grommet from the body.

4. DISCONNECT ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR CONNECTOR

5. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS CLAMP

6. DISCONNECT ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR CAP

   Click here

7. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT WITH CENTER BEARING ASSEMBLY

8. REMOVE REAR WHEEL HOUSE LINER LH

   Click here

9. REMOVE SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE

   Click here

10. REMOVE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    Click here

11. REMOVE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

12. REMOVE LOAD SENSING VALVE SENSOR BRACKET

13. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH

14. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY RH

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

15. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH

    

    
    

    1. Remove the nut and disconnect the stabilizer link from the stabilizer bar.

    2. 

       Remove the bolt, nut and stabilizer link from the rear No. 2 suspension arm.

16. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH

17. DISCONNECT PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH

18. DISCONNECT PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY RH

19. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY

       Support the rear suspension member sub-assembly with an engine lifter using 4 attachments or equivalent tools as shown in the illustration.

       Note

       
       

       • Use the attachments to keep the rear suspension member sub-assembly level.

       • The rear suspension member sub-assembly is a heavy component. Make sure that it is supported securely.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts labeled A.

    3. Remove the 4 bolts labeled B and 2 suspension member stoppers.

    4. Slowly lower the rear suspension member subassembly.

       Note

       When lowering the rear suspension member sub-assembly, be careful not to damage the vehicle body or other components installed on the vehicle.

20. REMOVE REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

    
    

    1. 

       Disconnect the 2 claws, and remove the wire harness from the suspension member.

    2. 

       Remove the 4 bolts and active stabilizer from the suspension member.

21. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER BUSH

    
    

    1. Remove the 2 bushes from the control actuator.
