FRONT ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

    Click here

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  4. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG COVER

  5. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP

    Click here

  6. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER

    Click here

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER


    1. Remove the 9 screws, 7 clips and under cover.

  8. DISCONNECT FRONT FENDER LINER LH


    1. A000WWT

      Remove the 3 screws.

    2. Partially remove the fender liner.

      Tech Tips

      It is not necessary to fully remove the fender liner. Partially remove it so that the ECU can be removed.

  9. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

  10. DRAIN WASHER FLUID

  11. REMOVE WASHER INLET SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  12. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  13. REMOVE NO. 3 COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A000UQZ

      Detach the clamp, remove the 2 bolts.

    2. A000VYD

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the duct.

  14. REMOVE INLET ENGINE ROOM ECM DUCT


    1. A000W3F

      Remove the duct from the ECM box.

  15. DISCONNECT FRONT ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ACTUATOR CONNECTOR


    1. A000UC7E01

      Disconnect the wire harness clamp.

    2. Disconnect the actuator connector labeled A.

    3. Disconnect the actuator connector labeled B.


      1. Release the lever's lock. (*1)

      2. Press the claw and move the lever in the direction of the arrow in the illustration. (*2)

      3. Disconnect the actuator connector. (*3)

        Note

        When disconnecting the actuator connector, do not apply excessive force to the wire harness.

  16. REMOVE FRONT ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU


    1. A000TQU

      Remove the 3 bolts and ECU.

    2. A000XA6E01

      Disconnect the ECU connector.


      1. Release the lever's lock. (*1)

      2. Press the claw and move the lever in the direction of the arrow in the illustration. (*2)

      3. Disconnect the ECU connector. (*3)

        Note

        When disconnecting the ECU connector, do not apply excessive force to the wire harness.

  17. REMOVE BRACKET


    1. A000UM7

      Remove the 4 screws and bracket.
