OIL PUMP ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Spare Tire)

  2. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (w/o Spare Tire)

    Click here

  3. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire)

  4. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

    Click here

  5. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  6. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  7. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET

    Click here

  10. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH

    Click here

  11. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH

    Click here

  12. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

    Click here

  13. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE

  14. DISCONNECT OIL PUMP MOTOR CONTROLLER CONNECTOR

    Note

    Be sure to perform the procedure as described below. Do not turn the power switch on (READY) before reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.


    1. A000YL0

      Disconnect the connector from the oil pump motor controller.

    2. Applicable period (2007/04 - 2007/12)


      1. A000YGHE02
        *1 Pull the lever to release the lock

        Pull the lever to release the lock on the connector.

      2. A000TXTE02
        *1 Release the lock
        *2 Rotate the lever

        Release the lock lever on the connector as shown in the illustration. Disconnect the connector from the oil pump motor controller.

        Note

        When disconnecting the connector, do not apply excessive force to the wire harness.

      3. Disconnect the clamp.

        Note

        When disconnecting the clamp, do not apply excessive force to the wire harness.

    3. Applicable period (2007/12 -)


      1. A000XLGE04
        *1 Release the lock

        Release the lock on the connector.

      2. A000TZTE03
        *1 Release the lock
        *2 Rotate the lever

        Release the lock lever on the connector as shown in the illustration. Disconnect the connector from the oil pump motor controller.

        Note

        When disconnecting the connector, do not apply excessive force to the wire harness.

      3. Disconnect the clamp.

        Note

        When disconnecting the clamp, do not apply excessive force to the wire harness.

  15. REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR COVER (w/ Cover)

  16. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER

  17. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH

  18. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH

  19. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

    Click here

  20. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION MEMBER PROTECTOR

  21. DRAIN TRANSMISSION FLUID

    Click here

  22. DRAIN INVERTER COOLANT (for LHD)

    Click here

  23. DISCONNECT INLET OIL COOLER HOSE

    Click here

  24. DISCONNECT OUTLET OIL COOLER HOSE

    Click here

  25. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A000UIN

      Remove the 2 nuts and 2 bolts from the exhaust manifold LH and RH.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and No. 1 exhaust pipe support bracket sub-assembly.

  26. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS


    1. Separate the 9 wire harness clamps and connector from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

  27. DISCONNECT OUTLET NO. 1 HYBRID WATER PUMP PIPE (for LHD)


    1. A000TQM

      Remove the clip and disconnect the water pump hose.

    2. A000VIT

      Remove the 2 bolts and clip, and disconnect the outlet No. 1 hybrid water pump pipe.

  28. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER TUBE (for LHD)


    1. Disconnect the 2 oil cooler hoses.

      A000YG9

      Note

      Do not touch any parts that may be hot, such as the exhaust pipe.

      Tech Tips

      Cover each disconnected oil cooler hose with a plastic bag or tape to prevent fluid from dripping.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts and oil cooler tube.

  29. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER TUBE (for RHD)


    1. A000TBF

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket.

    2. Disconnect the 2 oil cooler hoses.

      A000VD9

      Note

      Do not touch any parts that may be hot, such as the exhaust pipe.

      Tech Tips

      Cover each disconnected oil cooler hose with a plastic bag or tape to prevent fluid from dripping.

    3. Remove the 3 bolts and oil cooler tube.

  30. REMOVE OIL WITH MOTOR PUMP ASSEMBLY


    1. A000YZBE01

      Disconnect the transmission breather hose from the oil with motor pump assembly.

    2. Using SST, remove the 4 bolts, oil with motor pump and gasket from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.
