OIL PRESSURE SWITCH REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR COVER (w/ Cover)

    Click here

  2. DRAIN TRANSMISSION FLUID


    1. A000W5O

      Remove the drain plug and gasket, and drain the ATF.

    2. Install a new gasket and the drain plug.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
  3. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 6 bolts, oil pan and gasket from the transmission.

    2. Remove the 2 transmission oil cleaner magnets from the oil pan.


      1. Collect any steel chips with the removed magnets. Carefully look at the foreign objects and particles in the pan and on the magnets to guess the type of wear which might be found in the transmission.

        Steel (magnetic): bearing, gear and clutch plate wear

        Brass (non-magnetic): bush wear

  4. REMOVE OIL STRAINER ASSEMBLY


    1. A000W1E

      Remove the 3 bolts and oil strainer from the valve body.

    2. A000TCQ

      Remove the O-ring from the oil strainer.

  5. REMOVE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH


    1. Remove the oil pressure switch (PB1).


      1. A000VCJ

        Disconnect the oil pressure switch connector.

        Note

        When disconnecting the oil pressure switch connector, do not bend the terminals.

      2. A000YGYE03
        *1 Oil Pressure Switch (PB1)

        Remove the oil pressure switch (PB1) from the valve body.

    2. Remove the oil pressure switch (PB2).


      1. A000VCB

        Disconnect the oil pressure switch connector.

        Note

        When disconnecting the oil pressure switch connector, do not bend the terminals.

      2. A000YPAE03
        *1 Oil Pressure Switch (PB2)

        Remove the oil pressure switch (PB2) from the valve body.

    3. Remove the oil pressure switch (PB3).


      1. A000Z98

        Disconnect the oil pressure switch connector.

        Note

        When disconnecting the oil pressure switch connector, do not bend the terminals.

      2. A000W3EE03
        *1 Oil Pressure Switch (PB3)

        Remove the oil pressure switch (PB3) from the valve body.

  6. REMOVE OIL COOLER TUBE


    1. A00103C

      Remove the bolt and oil cooler tube clamp.

    2. Remove the oil cooler tube from the valve body.
