SHIFT LEVER POSITION SENSOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Spare Tire)

  2. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (w/o Spare Tire)

    Click here

  3. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire)

  4. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

    Click here

  5. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  6. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  7. REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR COVER (w/ Cover)

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER

    Click here

  9. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH

    Click here

  10. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

  12. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION MEMBER PROTECTOR

  13. SEPARATE OIL COOLER TUBE


    1. A000TRM

      Remove the 3 bolts and separate the oil cooler tube.

  14. SEPARATE FLOOR SHIFT GEAR SHIFTING ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Set the shift lever to the neutral position.

      Remove the nut, and separate the floor shift gear shifting rod sub-assembly.

  15. REMOVE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH


    1. A000YL2

      Disconnect the park/neutral position switch connector.

    2. A000XHE

      Remove the nut, washer and transmission control shaft lever.

    3. A000XR4

      Using a screwdriver, pry out the lock washer.

    4. Remove the lock nut and lock washer.

    5. A000XWH

      Remove the 2 bolts and park/neutral position switch.

      Tech Tips

      Make sure that the manual valve lever shaft has not been rotated prior to installing the park/neutral position switch as the detent spring may become detached from the manual valve lever shaft.
