CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Measure resistance (Vehicle without vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode)


      1. Remove the cruise control main switch assembly.

        A000U2WE02
        *a Component without harness connected: (Cruise Control Main Switch Assembly)
        *b MAIN
        *c -SET
        *d CANCEL

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        3 - 4 Neutral 1 MΩ or higher
        3 - 4 +RES 235 to 245 Ω
        3 - 4 -SET 617 to 643 Ω
        3 - 4 CANCEL 1509 to 1571 Ω
        3 - 4 Main Switch OFF 1 MΩ or higher
        3 - 4 Main Switch ON Below 2.5 Ω

        • If the result is not as specified, replace the cruise control main switch assembly.

    2. Measure resistance (Vehicle with vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode)


      1. Remove the cruise control main switch assembly.

        A000YD1E02

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition

        1 - 4

        3 - 4

        		 Neutral 1 MΩ or higher
        3 - 4 +RES 235 to 245 Ω
        3 - 4 -SET 617 to 643 Ω
        3 - 4 CANCEL 1509 to 1571 Ω
        3 - 4 Main Switch OFF 1 MΩ or higher
        3 - 4 Main Switch ON Below 2.5 Ω
        1 - 3 Main Switch on and Mode Switch ON Below 2.5 Ω

        • If the result is not as specified, replace the cruise control main switch assembly.
