HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:P0705-757

DTC Code DTC Name
P0705-757 Transmission Range Sensor Circuit

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

The park/neutral position switch can send 8 different switch signals to the hybrid vehicle control ECU. The hybrid vehicle control ECU uses the signals to detect the shift lever position (P, R, N, or D). The hybrid vehicle control ECU also uses this information to determine intended direction of travel (forward or reverse).

DTC No. INF Code DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area

  • Wire harness or connector

  • Park/neutral position switch

  • Hybrid vehicle control ECU

PROCEDURE

  1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (SHIFT POSITION)

    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Shift Sensor SW - P, Shift Sensor SW - R, Shift Sensor SW - N, Shift Sensor SW - D, Shift Sensor SW - RV, Shift Sensor SW - FD, Shift Sensor SW - MJ, .

    4. While slowly moving the shift lever from P to D, and then back to the P position, read the data list (shift position) displayed on the intelligent tester.

      Tech Tips

Make sure to move the shift lever slowly.
