DIAGNOSIS FUNCTION
The diagnosis function makes the master warning light and the multi-information display turn on. When a malfunction occurs in the dynamic radar cruise control system, the DTCs are stored in the driving support ECU.
| *1 | Master Warning Light |
| *2 | Multi-information Display |
Note
The master warning light turns off if the system returns to a normal condition.
Since the stored data in the driving support ECU is erased by disconnecting the EFI and ETCS fuses or the negative (-) auxiliary battery cable, do not disconnect them until the inspection has been completed.
CHECK INDICATOR
| *1 | Master Warning Light |
| *2 | Multi-information Display |
When a malfunction occurs in the dynamic radar cruise control system, the system turns off the cruise control indicator and the master warning light illuminates at the same time a "pong" sound is heard. Also, "Check Cruise Control System" is displayed in the No. 1 meter ECU sub-assembly and the ECM stores DTCs.
Tech Tips
When the system returns to normal, the "Check Cruise Control System" display in the No. 1 meter ECU sub-assembly disappears.
Do not remove any fuses or disconnect any cables from the auxiliary battery terminals until the data stored in the ECUs is cleared.
