ENTRY AND START SYSTEM Rear Door LH Entry Lock Function does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

If the rear door LH entry lock function does not operate but the entry unlock operation operates, the communication line between the vehicle and electrical key transmitter is normal. Either of the following may have occurred: 1) the entry lock switch is malfunctioning; or 2) the rear door ECU LH receives the entry lock switch ON signal, but is unable to send the signal to the certification ECU through CAN communication.

Before performing the inspection, check that there are no problems related to the "CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM" and "LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM".

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK OPERATION


    1. When the multiplex network master switch's door control switch is operated, check that the locked doors unlock Click here.

      OK
      Locked doors unlock.

  2. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (DOOR LOCK POSITION SWITCH)


    1. Using the intelligent tester, read the Data List Click here.

      Rear Left Door

      Lock Position SW Rear LH side door lock position switch signal / ON or OFF

      ON: Rear side door LH is unlocked

      OFF: Rear side door LH is locked

    1. Disconnect the O14 ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the O26 handle connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
