DESCRIPTION
When the wireless operation can be used to lock and unlock the doors, the communication line between the door control receiver and certification ECU is normal. When the entry operation does not operate, one of the following may be the cause: 1) entry cancel function is set through customization; 2) malfunction in entry and start system communication line (electrical key transmitter and vehicle); or 3) wave interference.
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
Note
Before performing the inspection, check that there are no problems related to the "CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM" and "LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM".
When the certification ECU is replaced, the codes must be registered.

Tech Tips
When the electrical key transmitter is brought near the door outside handle or electrical key antenna, the possibility of wave interference decreases, and it can be determined if wave interference is causing the problem symptom.
The transmitting wave of the wireless function and entry function are the same, but the wave logic is different. As a result, it is possible that only the wireless function or only the entry function is affected by wave interference.

Bring the electrical key transmitter near the front door outside handle LH, and perform a front door LH entry lock and unlock operation check.

If the key is brought within 0.2 m (0.656 ft.) of the door handle, communication may not possible.

Bring the electrical key transmitter near the indoor electrical key oscillator (in center console), and perform a hybrid control system start check.
Note
If the key is brought within 0.2 m (0.656 ft.) of the center console, communication may not possible.
Bring the electrical key transmitter near the indoor electrical key oscillator (in rear seat cushion), and perform a hybrid control system start check.
Note
If the key is brought within 0.2 m (0.656 ft.) of the rear seat cushion, communication may not possible.

Bring the electrical key transmitter near the electrical key antenna (in rear bumper), and perform an entry luggage compartment open function check.
Note
If the key is brought within 0.2 m (0.656 ft.) of the rear bumper, communication may not possible.
Tech Tips
If the inspection result is that the problem only occurs in certain locations or times of day, the possibility of wave interference is high. Also, added vehicle components may cause wave interference. If installed, remove them and perform the operation check.
