WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM Wiper and Washer Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit provides power to operate the windshield wiper switch. The manual operation signals are sent to the front controller.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING FUSE (P-D/C CUT, D-IG1-1)


    1. Remove the P-D/C CUT fuse form the passenger side junction block.

    2. Remove the D-IG1-1 fuse form the main body ECU.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the values in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P-D/C CUT fuse Always Below 1 Ω

  2. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH)


    1. Check the Data List for proper functioning of the windshield wiper switch.

      27 degrees / Switch is turned one notch towards the "-" side from the FR wiper volume "+" position

      63 degrees / Switch is turned one notch towards the "+" side from the FR wiper volume "-" position

      90 degrees / FR wiper volume "-" position

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

      Disconnect the L25 switch connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      L25-1 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      L25-2 (IG) - Body ground Power switch ON (IG) 11 to 14 V
      L25-2 (IG) - Body ground Power switch OFF Below 1 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      L25-8 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
