ENGINE IMMOBILISER SYSTEM ID Code Box Power Source Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit provides power to operate the ID code box.

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FUSE (SECURITY)

   
   

   1. Remove the SECURITY fuse from the main body ECU.

   2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition SECURITY fuse Always Below 1 Ω

   
   

   NG

   REPLACE FUSE

   OK

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ID CODE BOX - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

   

   *1	Front view of wire harness connector: (to ID Code Box)

   
   

   1. Disconnect the L32 box connector.

   2. Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition L32-8 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Standard voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition L32-1 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
