ENGINE IMMOBILISER SYSTEM DTC CHECK / CLEAR


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch ON (IG).

    3. Turn the tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body or Powertrain / (desired system) / DTC.

    5. Read the DTCs by following the directions on the tester's screen.

      Tech Tips


      • When using the intelligent tester with the power switch OFF to troubleshoot: Connect the intelligent tester to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at 1.5 seconds intervals until communication between the tester and vehicle begins.

      • Refer to the intelligent tester operator's manual for further details.

  2. CLEAR DTC


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch ON (IG).

    3. Turn the tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body or Powertrain / (desired system) / DTC.

    5. Erase the DTCs by following the directions on the tester's screen.
