REAR COOLING UNIT(w/o Rear Air Conditioning System) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM


    1. for HFC-134a (R134a):

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Spare Tire)

  3. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (w/o Spare Tire)

    Click here

  4. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire)

    Click here

  5. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

  6. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here

  7. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  8. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY

  11. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH

  19. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY

  21. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE

  22. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY LH

  24. REMOVE REAR NO. 4 AIR DUCT


    1. A000U77

      Detach the 4 claws and remove the rear No. 4 air duct.

  25. REMOVE REAR NO. 5 AIR DUCT


    1. A000YYJ

      Detach the 6 claws and remove the rear No. 5 air duct.

  26. DISCONNECT AIR CONDITIONING TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY


    1. A000X2U

      Remove the No. 4 cooling unit packing.

    2. A000UE8

      Remove the 2 bolts and the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

    3. Remove the 2 O-rings from the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

  27. REMOVE REAR COOLING UNIT ASSEMBLY


    1. A000TX3

      Disconnect the connectors and detach the clamps.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

    3. Disconnect the drain cooler hose and remove the rear cooling unit assembly.
