AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM Rear Air Conditioning Control Panel Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit consists of the rear A/C switch (built into the rear power seat switch) and the air conditioning amplifier. When the rear A/C switch is operated, signals are transmitted to the air conditioning amplifier through the LIN communication system.

If the LIN communication system malfunctions, the air conditioning amplifier does not operate even if the rear A/C switch is operated.

WIRING DIAGRAM

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FUSE (RR MPX-B2)

   
   

   1. Remove the RR MPX-B2 fuse from the luggage room junction block.

   2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition RR MPX-B2 fuse Always Below 1 Ω

   
   

   NG

   REPLACE FUSE

   OK

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR POWER SEAT SWITCH - BODY GROUND AND BATTERY)

   

   
   

   1. Disconnect the z54*1 or S15*2 rear power seat switch connector.

      
      

      • *1: except 4-Passenger with Ottoman

      • *2: for 4-Passenger with Ottoman

   2. Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      except 4-Passenger with Ottoman Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition z54-9 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      for 4-Passenger with Ottoman Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition S15-1 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Standard voltage
      except 4-Passenger with Ottoman Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition z54-14 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      for 4-Passenger with Ottoman Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition S15-8 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER - REAR POWER SEAT SWITCH)

   

   
   

   1. Disconnect the z54*1 or S15*2 rear power seat switch connector.

      
      

      • *1: except 4-Passenger with Ottoman

      • *2: for 4-Passenger with Ottoman

   2. Disconnect the L76 air conditioning amplifier connector.

   3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      except 4-Passenger with Ottoman Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition L76-21 (LIN3) - z54-6 (RCLN) Always Below 1 Ω z54-6 (RCLN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher L76-21 (LIN3) - Body ground
      for 4-Passenger with Ottoman Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition L76-21 (LIN3) - S15-9 (RCLN) Always Below 1 Ω S15-9 (RCLN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher L76-21 (LIN3) - Body ground

4. CHECK REAR POWER SEAT SWITCH

   
   

   1. for Power Seat:

      
      

      1. Replace the rear power seat switch with a new or properly functioning one Click here.

   2. for 5-Passenger with Ottoman:

      
      

      1. Replace the rear power seat switch with a new or properly functioning one Click here.

   3. for 4-Passenger with Ottoman:

      
      

      1. Replace the rear power seat switch with a new or properly functioning one Click here.

   4. Operate the rear power seat switch to check that it functions properly.

      OK
