REAR BUMPER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL ELECTRICAL KEY ANTENNA (w/ Entry and Start System)


    1. Install the electrical key antenna with the bolt.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE MOUNTING BRACKET LH


    1. w/ Entry and Start System:

      Connect the connector.

    2. Install the rear bumper side mounting bracket LH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE MOUNTING BRACKET RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  4. INSTALL REAR BUMPER NO. 2 SIDE SUPPORT LH


    1. Install the rear bumper No. 2 side support LH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL REAR BUMPER BAR REINFORCEMENT LH


    1. Install the rear bumper bar reinforcement LH with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      25 N*m  { 255 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL REAR BUMPER BAR REINFORCEMENT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  7. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH


    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the rear bumper side support LH.

    2. Install the 3 screws.

  8. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  9. INSTALL REAR BUMPER NO. 3 SIDE SUPPORT


    1. Install the rear bumper No. 3 side support with the screw.

      Torque:
      3.0 N*m  { 31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf }

  10. INSTALL REAR BUMPER COVER


    1. w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System, w/ Rear Fog Light:

      Connect the 3 connectors.

    2. w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System, w/o Rear Fog Light:

      Connect the connector.

    3. w/o TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System, w/ Rear Fog Light:

      Connect the 2 connectors.

      Set the rear bumper cover on the vehicle as shown in the illustration.

    5. B001IFL

      Attach the 7 claws to install the rear bumper cover.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to attach the claw on the other side.

    6. Remove the protective tape.

    7. Install the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    8. Install the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    9. Install the 2 clips.

  11. INSTALL REAR BUMPER NO. 1 PLATE


    1. Attach the 21 claws to install the rear bumper No. 1 plate.

    2. Remove the protective tape.

    3. Install the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

  12. INSTALL REAR BUMPER BAR PLATE


    1. Attach the 14 claws to install the rear bumper bar plate.

    2. Remove the protective tape.

  13. INSTALL JACK BOX HOLE COVER


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the jack box hole cover.

  14. INSTALL REAR QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD LH
