REAR BUMPER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD LH

  2. REMOVE REAR QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  3. REMOVE JACK BOX HOLE COVER

    B001CE2 Protective Tape

    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the jack box hole cover.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  4. REMOVE REAR BUMPER BAR PLATE

      Put protective tape around the rear bumper bar plate.

    2. Detach the 14 claws and remove the rear bumper bar plate.

  5. REMOVE REAR BUMPER NO. 1 PLATE


    1. B001CJH

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. B001CRVC01
      B001CE2 Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the rear bumper No. 1 plate.

    3. Detach the 21 claws and remove the rear bumper No. 1 plate.

  6. REMOVE REAR BUMPER COVER


    1. B001E1E

      Remove the 2 clips.

    2. B001HRJ

      Remove the 3 bolts.

    3. B001FWB

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    4. B001FPGC01
      B001CE2 Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the rear bumper cover.

    5. B001IFL

      Detach the 7 claws.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to detach the claw on the other side.

    6. B001CDQ

      Remove the rear bumper cover as shown in the illustration.

    7. w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System, w/ Rear Fog Light:

      Disconnect the 3 connectors.

    8. w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System, w/o Rear Fog Light:

      disconnect the connector.

    9. w/o TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System, w/ Rear Fog Light:

      disconnect the 2 connectors.

  7. REMOVE REAR BUMPER NO. 3 SIDE SUPPORT

    1. Remove the screw and rear bumper No. 3 side support.

  8. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH


    1. Remove the 3 screws.

    2. Using a clip remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the rear bumper side support LH.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the clip remover tip before use.

  9. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  10. REMOVE REAR BUMPER BAR REINFORCEMENT LH

    1. Remove the 3 bolts and rear bumper bar reinforcement LH.

  11. REMOVE REAR BUMPER BAR REINFORCEMENT RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  12. REMOVE REAR BUMPER NO. 2 SIDE SUPPORT LH

    1. Remove the bolt and rear bumper No. 2 side support LH.

  13. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE MOUNTING BRACKET LH

    1. w/ Entry and Start System:

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the bolt and rear bumper side mounting bracket LH.

  14. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE MOUNTING BRACKET RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  15. REMOVE ELECTRICAL KEY ANTENNA (w/ Entry and Start System)

    1. Remove the bolt and electrical key antenna.
