Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL HEADLIGHT BRACKET LH


    1. Attach the claw to install the headlight bracket LH.

    2. Install the 3 screws.

  2. INSTALL HEADLIGHT SEAL

      Clean the application area as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Remove any remaining double-sided tape, and then clean and degrease the area.

    2. Remove approximately 30 mm (1.18 in.) of the peeling tape from a new headlight seal.

      Align the cutout of the headlight seal with the protrusion and set it.

      B001IGJ Peeling Tape

      While peeling the peeling tape, align the headlight seal to the curve and set it.

      Press the set portion of the part with your finger to secure it.

      Note

      Do not slide your finger horizontally, as doing so may stretch the part unnecessarily.

  3. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER BAR REINFORCEMENT LH


    1. Install the front bumper bar reinforcement LH with the 2 screws.

  4. INSTALL HEADLIGHT CORD

    1. Attach the hook.

    2. Install the headlight cord with the 2 screws.

    3. Attach the 6 wire harness clamps.

  5. INSTALL HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR BASE PACKING (w/ Headlight Leveling)


    1. Install a new headlight leveling motor base packing.

  6. INSTALL HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR LH (w/ Headlight Leveling)


    1. Set the tip of the aiming screw of the headlight leveling motor LH.

      Tighten the aiming screw of the headlight leveling motor LH the same number of rotations recorded when removing it to connect the headlight leveling motor LH.

    3. Insert the headlight leveling motor LH.

    4. Turn the headlight leveling motor LH clockwise to install it.

      Tech Tips

      For the headlight assembly RH, turn the headlight leveling motor RH counterclockwise to install it.

    5. Tighten the aiming screw 20 rotations.

    6. Connect the connector.

  7. INSTALL FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB


    1. Install the front turn signal light bulb to the front turn signal light bulb socket.

      *b Unlock Position Mark
      *c Lock Position Mark

      Align the matchmark of the front turn signal light bulb socket with the unlock position mark, and then rotate the front turn signal light bulb socket clockwise until the lock position mark to install the front turn signal light bulb socket.

  8. INSTALL CLEARANCE LIGHT BULB


    1. Install the clearance light bulb to the clearance light bulb socket.

      *b Unlock Position Mark
      *c Lock Position Mark

      Align the matchmark of the clearance light bulb socket with the unlock position mark, and then rotate the clearance light bulb socket clockwise until the lock position mark to install the clearance light bulb socket.

  9. INSTALL NO. 2 HEADLIGHT BULB


    1. Insert the No. 2 headlight bulb.

      Note

      Do not touch the glass part of the No. 2 headlight bulb.

      Turn the No. 2 headlight bulb clockwise until the bulb stops to install it.

    3. Connect the connector.

  10. INSTALL NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BULB


    1. Insert the No. 1 headlight bulb.

      Note

      Do not touch the glass part of the No. 1 headlight bulb.

    2. B001GUE

      Turn the No. 1 headlight bulb clockwise until the bulb stops to install it.

    3. Connect the connector.
