DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH receives vehicle height signals from the suspension control ECU. The No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH outputs DTC B241A.

This DTC is stored when the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH detects a malfunction in the rear height control sensor sub-assembly RH power source circuit or rear height control sensor sub-assembly RH circuit. The No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH stores DTC B241A.

Note

w/o Air Suspension System:

  • If the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

    • Replacement of the rear height control sensor sub-assembly RH

    • Removal/installation of the rear height control sensor sub-assembly RH

    • Work that changes the vehicle height such as replacement of suspension components

  4. INSPECT REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Remove the rear height control sensor sub-assembly RH.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH - REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH)


    1. Disconnect the A102 No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the S3 rear height control sensor sub-assembly RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      A102-16 (SBR) - S3-1 (SHB) Always Below 1 Ω
      A102-15 (SGR) - S3-3 (SHG) Always Below 1 Ω
      A102-17 (SHRL) - S3-2 (SHRR) Always Below 1 Ω

      A102-15 (SGR) or S3-3 (SHG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
