Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BULB


    1. B001CRD

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. B001GKS

      Turn the No. 1 headlight bulb counterclockwise until the bulb stops and remove it.

      Note

      Do not touch the glass part of the No. 1 headlight bulb.

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 HEADLIGHT BULB


    1. B001FFN

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. B001HO9

      Turn the No. 2 headlight bulb counterclockwise until the bulb stops and remove it.

      Note

      Do not touch the glass part of the No. 2 headlight bulb.

  3. REMOVE CLEARANCE LIGHT BULB

      Disconnect the connector.

      *a Matchmark
      *b Unlock Position Mark

      Turn the clearance light bulb socket counterclockwise until the matchmark is aligned with the unlock position mark to remove the clearance light bulb socket.

    3. B001FOE

      Remove the clearance light bulb from the clearance light bulb socket.

  4. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB


    1. B001GCO

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. B001CNYC01
      *a Matchmark
      *b Unlock Position Mark

      Turn the front turn signal light bulb socket counterclockwise until the matchmark is aligned with the unlock position mark to remove the front turn signal light bulb socket.

    3. B001G36

      Remove the front turn signal light bulb from the front turn signal light bulb socket.

  5. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR LH (w/ Headlight Leveling)


    1. B001G9H

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. B001H93C01
      *a Aiming Screw

      Loosen the aiming screw 20 rotations.

    3. Turn the headlight leveling motor LH counterclockwise until it stops.

      Note


      • Do not pull excessively as the headlight unit and headlight leveling motor LH are connected at this time.

      • Turn while holding with one hand as the headlight leveling motor LH may jump out.

      • If the headlight leveling motor LH is removed, make sure to replace the headlight leveling motor base packing with a new one.

      Tech Tips

      For the headlight assembly RH, turn the headlight leveling motor RH clockwise.

    4. Loosen the aiming screw until it disconnected.

      Tech Tips

      Count and record the number of rotations before the headlight leveling motor LH are disconnected.

  6. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR BASE PACKING (w/ Headlight Leveling)

      Remove the headlight leveling motor base packing.

  7. REMOVE HEADLIGHT CORD

      *a Hook

      Detach the 6 wire harness clamps.

    2. Remove the 2 screws.

    3. Detach the hook and remove the headlight cord.

  8. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER BAR REINFORCEMENT LH

      Remove the 2 screws and front bumper bar reinforcement LH.

  9. REMOVE HEADLIGHT SEAL


    1. B001I3D

      Remove the headlight seal.

      Note

      The headlight seal must not be reused.

  10. REMOVE HEADLIGHT BRACKET LH


    1. B001HVN

      Remove the 3 screws.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the headlight bracket LH.
