DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) controls the rear fog light.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Using the GTS, perform the Active Test.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - REAR FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND BATTERY)


    1. Disconnect the 2Q*1, 2P*2 and 2K driver side junction block assembly connectors.


      • *1: for LHD

      • *2: for RHD

    2. Disconnect the V3 rear fog light assembly LH connector.

    3. Disconnect the U3 rear fog light assembly RH connector.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2K-1 - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Remove the driver side junction block assembly.

    1. Remove the rear fog light relay (FOG RR) from engine room relay block.

    2. Inspect the rear fog light relay (FOG RR).

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR FOG LIGHT RELAY [FOG RR] - REAR FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND BATTERY)


    1. Remove the rear fog light relay (FOG RR) from engine room relay block.

    2. Disconnect the V3 rear fog light assembly LH connector.

    3. Disconnect the U3 rear fog light assembly RH connector.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Rear fog light relay (FOG RR) terminal 2 - Body ground Light control switch in Tail or Head position. 11 to 14 V
      Rear fog light relay (FOG RR) terminal 5 - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Remove the rear fog light relay (FOG RR) from engine room relay block.

    2. Disconnect the 2F driver side junction block assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Rear fog light relay (FOG RR) terminal 1 - 2F-19 Always Below 1 Ω
      Rear fog light relay (FOG RR) terminal 1 or 2F-19 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
