LIGHTING SYSTEM(for Halogen Headlight) Headlight Relay Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) receives light control switch information signals and illuminates the low beam headlights.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Using the GTS, perform the Active Test.

  2. INSPECT HEADLIGHT RELAY (H-LP LO)


    1. Remove the headlight relay (H-LP LO) from the engine room relay block and junction block.

    2. Inspect the headlight relay (H-LP LO).

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT RELAY [H-LP LO] - BATTERY)

      Remove the headlight relay (H-LP LO) from the engine room relay block and junction block.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Headlight relay (H-LP LO) terminal 1 - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      Headlight relay (H-LP LO) terminal 5 - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT RELAY [H-LP LO] - DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY AND HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY)


    1. Remove the headlight relay (H-LP LO) from the engine room relay block and junction block.

    2. Disconnect the 2M*1 or 2F*2 driver side junction block assembly connector.


      • *1: except 5L-E

      • *2: for 5L-E

    3. Disconnect the A111 headlight assembly LH connector.

    4. Disconnect the A113 headlight assembly RH connector.

    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Headlight relay (H-LP LO) terminal 2 - 2M-17 Always Below 1 Ω
      Headlight relay (H-LP LO) terminal 3 - A111-2 (B) Always Below 1 Ω

      Headlight relay (H-LP LO) terminal 3 or A111-2 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Remove the driver side junction block assembly.
