LIGHTING SYSTEM Front Fog Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU receives headlight dimmer switch information signals and illuminates the front fog lights.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (FRONT FOG LIGHT RELAY)


    1. Using the intelligent tester, perform the Active Test Click here.

      Main Body

      Front Fog Light Relay Front fog light relay ON/OFF The headlight dimmer switch is in the tail position.
      OK
      Front fog light relay operates (front fog lights come on).

  2. CHECK MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)


    1. Remove the driver side junction block with its connectors still connected Click here.

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      2F-9 - Body ground Headlight dimmer switch in tail and front fog light switch on 11 to 14 V

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY)

  3. INSPECT DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

      Remove the driver side junction block assembly Click here.

    2. Remove the main body ECU from the driver side junction block assembly Click here.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2F-9 - Body ground Apply battery positive (+) to 2K-1, and battery negative (-) to A-13 and A-14 11 to 14 V
      Always Below 1 V
