DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) controls the rear fog light.

  • Before replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), refer to Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Using the GTS, perform the Active Test.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - REAR FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND BATTERY)


    1. Disconnect the 2Q*1, 2P*2 and 2K driver side junction block assembly connectors.


      • *1: for LHD

      • *2: for RHD

    2. Disconnect the V3 rear fog light assembly LH connector.

    3. Disconnect the U3 rear fog light assembly RH connector.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2K-1 - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for LHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2Q-11 - V3-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      2Q-11 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for RHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2P-11 - V3-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      2P-11 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. CHECK DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the driver side junction block assembly.

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the driver side junction block assembly.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      2Q-11 - Battery negative (-) terminal Battery not connected to 2K-1, A-14 (TRLY) and A-27 (RFGO) Below 1 V

      Battery positive (+) → 2K-1

      Battery negative (-) → A-14 (TRLY) and A-27 (RFGO)

      for RHD
