HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. Pass the hood lock control cable assembly into the engine compartment.

    2. Pass the cable through the upper radiator support.

    3. Attach the clamps as shown in the illustration.

  2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. Pass the hood lock control cable assembly into the engine compartment.

    2. Pass the cable through the upper radiator support.

    3. Attach the clamps as shown in the illustration.

  3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. for LHD:

        Connect the hood lock control cable assembly to the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

      2. B001DDM

        Attach the 3 claws to install the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

        *1 Protector
        *2 Fuel Lid Lock Control Cable
        *3 Hood Lock Control Cable
        *4 Clamp

        Attach the clamps as shown in the illustration.

    2. for RHD:

        Connect the hood lock control cable assembly to install the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

      2. B001CI2

        Attach the 3 claws and install the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

  4. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. B001D72

      Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the hood lock assembly.

    2. B001D9LC01
      *A w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch

      Connect the hood lock control cable assembly.

    3. w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch:

      Connect the connector.

    4. B001GN2

      Install the hood lock assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. B001DZV

      Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the hood lock assembly.

    2. B001IIJC01
      *A w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch

      Connect the hood lock control cable assembly.

    3. w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch:

      Connect the connector.

    4. B001EZZ

      Install the hood lock assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER


    1. B001DVKC01
      *A for LHD
      *B for RHD

      Pass the hood lock control cable assembly through the hood lock control cable cover.

    2. Attach the claw to install the hood lock control cable cover.

    3. Install the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL LOW PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  8. INSTALL HIGH PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  9. INSTALL HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR


    1. Attach the 2 claws and 2 guides to install the hood lock release lever protector.

  10. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE

  11. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL
