HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

    Click here

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE

    Click here

  3. REMOVE HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR


    1. B001FCJ

      Detach the 2 clamps and 2 guides and remove the hood lock release lever protector.

  4. REMOVE LOW PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  5. REMOVE HIGH PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

    Click here

  6. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER


    1. B001DVKC01
      *A for LHD
      *B for RHD

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the hood lock control cable cover.

  7. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. B001GN2

      Remove the 3 bolts.

    2. w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch:


      1. B001D9LC01
        *A w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch

        Disconnect the connector.

    3. Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly and remove the hood lock assembly.

  8. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. B001EZZ

      Remove the 3 bolts.

    2. w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch:


      1. B001IIJC01
        *A w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch

        Disconnect the connector.

    3. Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly and remove the hood lock assembly.

  9. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. for LHD:


      1. B001IFWC01
        *1 Protector
        *2 Fuel Lid Lock Control Cable
        *3 Hood Lock Control Cable
        *4 Clamp

        Detach the clamp as shown in the illustration.

      2. B001DDM

        Detach the 3 claws.

      3. B001FN8

        Remove the hood lock control cable assembly and hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

    2. for RHD:


      1. B001CI2

        Detach the 3 claws.

      2. B001FN8

        Remove the hood lock control cable assembly and hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

  10. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the clamps shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment and remove it.

  11. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the clamps shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment and remove it.

      *3 Rear Washer Hose - -
