DESCRIPTION

The sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly receives map light assembly signals and drives its built-in motor.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (SLIDING ROOF)


    1. Select the Active Test, use the intelligent tester to generate a control command, and then check that the sliding roof slides open/closed and tilts up/down Click here.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      25 (DOWN) - 5 (GND3) Tilt down switch not pressed 10 kΩ or higher

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF ECU - SLIDING ROOF SWITCH, BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the W2 ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the W7 switch connector.

    3. Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      W7-5 (GND3) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      W2-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      W2-10 (UP) or W7-24 (UP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      W2-8 (DWN) or W7-25 (DOWN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
