HEATED WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


  1. CHECK HEATED WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER SYSTEM


    1. Start the engine.

    2. Check that the windshield glass (heated windshield defroster) becomes warm by operating the front window wiper switch.

    3. Confirm that heated windshield defroster system operation stops after approximately 4 minutes.

      Note


      • If the ambient temperature is 5°C (41°F) or higher, or if a malfunction of the ambient temperature sensor (thermistor assembly) is detected, the HWD NO.1, HWD NO.2, HWD NO.3 or HWD NO.4 relays will be deactivated and the front wiper deicer switch indicator light will blink.

      • for 1GD-FTV:

        If the heated windshield defoster system is operated, the rear seat heater system wil turn off.
