DESCRIPTION
Wireless Transmitter-linked Function
w/ Entry and Start System:
When a key switch is pushed: 1) the door control receiver receives the wireless door lock signal; 2) the door control receiver sends a signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) through the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly); 3) the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) sends the operation permission signal to the power window regulator motor assembly; and 4) the power window regulator motor assembly are activated.
w/o Entry and Start System:
When a key switch is pushed: 1) a door control receiver receives the wireless door lock signal; 2) the door control receiver sends a signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU); 3) the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) sends the operation permission signal to the power window regulator motor assembly; and 4) the power window regulator motor assembly are activated.
Key-linked Function
When the driver door key cylinder (key linked switch) is turned: 1) the front door lock assembly RH receives the signal; 2) the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) sends the signal to the power window regulator motor assemblies; and 3) the power window regulator motor assemblies are activated.
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
Note
These functions are set through the customize function, as they are off by default Click here.
The power window control system uses the LIN communication system and CAN communication system. Inspect the communication functions by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. Troubleshoot the power window control system after confirming that the communication systems are functioning properly Click here.
If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to the Service Bulletin.
As the door control battery is installed between the vehicle battery and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), first perform the inspections in On-Vehicle Inspection to confirm that there are no malfunctions in the power source circuit for the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) before performing this troubleshooting procedure.*
