ECO SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT ECO MODE SWITCH (Drive Mode)


    1. Remove the eco mode switch.

    2. for 5 mode type:

        Component without harness connected

        (Eco Mode Switch (Drive Mode))

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        6 - 5 COMF ECO mode switch pushed and held Below 10 Ω
        COMF ECO mode switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the eco mode switch (Drive Mode).

    3. for 3 mode type:

        Component without harness connected

        (Eco Mode Switch (Drive Mode))

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        6 - 5 ECO mode switch pushed and held Below 10 Ω
        ECO mode switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the eco mode switch (Drive Mode).

      Component without harness connected

      (Eco Mode Switch (Drive Mode))

      Apply battery voltage between the terminals of the eco mode switch (Drive Mode), and check the illumination condition of the eco mode switch (Drive Mode).

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) - 1

      Battery negative (-) - 10

      Illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the eco mode switch (Drive Mode).

    5. Install the eco mode switch.
