PROCEDURE

  1. INSPECT HEATER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

    1. Check resistance.

      1. B001CEFC01
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (Heater Switch Assembly)

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
5 (IG) - 2 (IN) Heater switch assembly off 10 kΩ or higher
Heater switch assembly on Below 1 Ω

If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the heater switch assembly.

    2. Check that the Indicator.

      1. B001FRSC01
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (Heater Switch Assembly)

        *b Indicator

Apply battery voltage to the connector and check the Indicator.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → 2 (IN)

        Battery negative (-) → 4 (E)

        Indicator illuminates

If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the heater switch assembly.

    3. Check that the illumination.

      1. B001CEFC02
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (Heater Switch Assembly)

Apply battery voltage to the connector and check the illumination.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → 6 (ILL+)

        Battery negative (-) → 1 (ILL-)

        Heater switch assembly illuminates

If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the heater switch assembly.

  2. INSPECT IDLE UP SWITCH

    B001FDAC03
    *a

    Component without harness connected

    (Idle Up Switch)

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
6 (SW) - 3 (E) Idle up switch off 10 kΩ or higher
Idle up switch on Below 1 Ω
    2. Apply battery voltage to the connector and check the LED illumination.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → 5 (ILL+)

      Battery negative (-) → 4 (ILL-)

      LED illuminates

If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the idle up switch.
