FRONT CONSOLE BOX(for Automatic Transmission) REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY

   Click here

2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH

   

   
   

   1. Detach the 5 clips and remove the instrument panel finish panel end LH.

   2. w/ Entry and Start System:

      
      

      1. Disconnect the connector.

3. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL CUSHION

   

   
   

   1. Detach the 5 clips and remove the No. 2 instrument panel finish panel cushion.

4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH

   

   
   

   1. Detach the 5 clips and remove the instrument panel finish panel end RH.

   2. w/ Airbag Cut Off Switch:

      
      

      1. Disconnect the connector.

5. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL CUSHION

   Tech Tips

   Use the same procedure described for the No. 2 instrument panel finish panel cushion.

6. REMOVE LOWER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Module Switch)

   
   

   1. w/ Combination Switch:

      
      

      1. 

         Detach the 10 clips and remove the lower console panel sub-assembly.

      2. Disconnect each connector.

   2. w/o Combination Switch:

      
      

      1. 

         Detach the 10 clips and remove the lower console panel sub-assembly.

      2. Disconnect each connector.

7. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Module Switch)

   
   

   1. 

      Detach the 4 clips and remove the center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.

8. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

   

   
   

   1. for LHD:

      
      

      1. Remove the screw.

      2. Detach the 2 clips and 2 guides and remove the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

      3. Disconnect each connector.

   2. 

      for RHD:

      
      

      1. Remove the screw.

      2. Detach the 3 clips and 2 guides and remove the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

      3. Disconnect each connector.

9. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX INSERT

   

   
   

   1. Detach the 2 clips and guide and remove the console box insert.

10. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    
    

    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the 3 clips and 2 guides and remove the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

       

       *A

       for LHD

       *B

       for RHD

11. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT

    

    
    

    1. Detach the 2 clips and guide and remove the front No. 2 console box insert.

12. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

    

    *1	Shifting Hole Cover

    
    

    1. Move the shifting hole cover downward.

    2. Twist the shift lever knob sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.

13. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

    

    Protective Tape

    
    

    1. Put protective tape around the console panel sub-assembly.

    2. Using a moulding remover, detach the 8 clips and 2 claws.

    3. Disconnect each connector and remove the console panel sub-assembly.

14. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Cool Box)

    

    
    

    1. Detach the 4 claws.

    2. Disconnect the 2 clamps and remove the No. 1 heater to register duct sub-assembly.

15. REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT (for Single Air Conditioning System)

    

    
    

    1. Remove the clip and No. 1 console box duct.

16. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE END PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

    

    
    

    1. Detach the 4 clips and 4 claws.

    2. Disconnect each connector and remove the rear console end panel sub-assembly.

17. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

    

    
    

    1. Remove the 2 screws, clip and 5 bolts.

    2. Disconnect each connector and remove the rear console box assembly.
