VISCOUS HEATER MAGNET CLUTCH(for 1GD-FTV) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (for Cold Area)

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note


    • After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  2. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  4. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  5. REMOVE NO. 3 ENGINE WIRE (for Cold Area)

    Click here

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

    Click here

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 INTERCOOLER AIR HOSE

    Click here

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

    Click here

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 INTERCOOLER AIR HOSE

    Click here

  10. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  11. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER HOSE (for Automatic Transmission)

    Click here

  12. REMOVE VISCOUS HEATER V BELT


    1. Remove the viscous heater V belt Click here.

  13. REMOVE FAN SHROUD

    Click here

  14. DISCONNECT HEATER WATER OUTLET HOSE

    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the water hose sub-assembly.

    2. B001CHM

      Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the heater water outlet hose.

      Note


      • Do not apply excessive force to the water hose and heater water outlet hose.

      • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.

  15. DISCONNECT HEATER WATER INLET HOSE

    1. Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the heater water inlet hose.

      Note


      • Do not apply excessive force to the water hose and heater water inlet hose.

      • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.

  16. REMOVE VISCOUS HEATER WITH MAGNET CLUTCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the viscous heater connector.

    2. B001GMC

      Remove the 2 bolts and viscous heater with magnet clutch assembly.
