COMPRESSOR(for 5L-E) INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH


    1. Check the operation.


      1. Start the engine.

      2. Inspect the compressor pulley.

        OK
        Compressor shaft rotates along with pulley.

      Component without harness connected

      (Magnet Clutch Assembly)

      Inspect the cooler compressor.


      1. Disconnect the connector.

      2. Apply battery voltage to the clutch and check operation of the clutch.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1

        Battery negative (-) → Body ground

        		 Magnet clutch is the engaged

        If the result is not as specified, replace the compressor.
